ISSA USA Home

Welcome!

ISSA-USA aims to provide support to social service providers through education, training, and services. ISSA is an organization that also helps Muslims to set up and successfully provide social services within their own communities, rather than running these services for communities. This approach helps to empower local Muslims in providing help to their communities. ISSA acts as a national link and resource between these smaller community-based organizations. ISSA is a unique organization since it is not a social service provider, but rather an organization that serves as a network for addressing the social service concerns of Muslims.

The mission of ISSA-USA is to build a network of professional, paraprofessional and volunteer social service providers; and to enhance their capacity through education, training, technical assistance, research, mentorship and collaboration

National Muslim Marriage Week

August 11-18, 2010 / Ramadan 1-7, 1431

ISSA-USA calls upon local communities to host activities in observance of National Muslim Marriage Week!  As part of its Sakinah Healthy Marriage Initiative (SHMI), ISSA-USA is promoting the benefits of healthy marriages and families thus improving the overall society.  We are organizing National Muslim Marriage Week and we call upon communities across the country to roll up their sleeves and join us.  During the first week of Ramadan, we ask you to attend or organize a National Muslim Marriage Week activity in your community.

Please tell us what you are planning in your community so that we may publicize it on our National Muslim Marriage Week calendar of events.

Submit your event to ISSA-USA at muslimmarriage@issausa.org by August 1, 2010
